Jim Thompson

Every life has a story to tell yet mostly those stories go untold. There are mysteries around and mostly these goes unsolved, untold, unresolved.

Disappearance of Jim Thompson is one such story. Only difference is that it spun a small scale industry on which many people earn their bread in Bangkok. No glossy book on Thialand gets published unless it has a very clolourful description of Jim Thompson house and stories of his markeeting the Thai silk to rich and famous accorss Atlantic.

Decades gone since his disapperance but even on some sunday news paper there would be stories and his life, deed and final disappearance.

Seems he used to live alone in his house in Bangkok but on the day of his disapprance he was holidaying with his lady companion in Mylaysia.

Many people fall in love with many cities yet very few figureout how to live in their beloved city. His did it through silk, making a rich business out of it.

The restaurant is good but expensive. The visit didnt leave any lingering throught ot nostalgia or questions for that matter.

Just one more activity that got ticked off, been there, dont it sort of way.

The heart flutters, searching for semblance of stability, solidity and continuity.
