Good intention not always pays

There was a meeting with one of the suppliers whose VP had underwent a knee surgenry recently. So, we volunteered that we would come to their office in Sukhumvit much to the ebmrassment to the supplier since we were their customer. We said human courtsey is beyound the supllier-customer relation and so the nevue was fixed in their office in Sukhumvit.

Matthey, their VP came late and blamed the traffic. While chatting, we asked him where he stayed and he mentioned Pattaya. Incredulously, we enquired if he travellled to Sukhubvit, good 2.5hrs drive everyday and he said normally he operated from their factory in Pattaya and only come to Sukhumvit.

It was our turn to feel embrassed since our office was midway between Pattaya and Sukhumvit and inadvertently while trying to reduce is travell time, we made him travel more!

Its another matter that being polite, the supplier didnt mentioned it before though they must have known it allready when the venue was being discussed with them.

Such is the relation of supplier and customers!
