Air India- Disappoints

I dont know why, parhaps for the low price, I opted for Air India flight for my trip to Mumbai to Bangkok. The flight was at the 2am! Boarded and slept off. Suddenly got up a around 3pm and found the plance hadnt moved even an inch! After about 2hrs, we were told that there was an snag which couldnt be corrected and so we would be moved to another flight. On how long it would take for that flight to leave Mumbai, we were give time ranging from 5mins to 30mins. After much shouting around, we were taken to another flight which left Mumbai around 6am and reach Bankok around 11am.

Meanwhile, I had informd Dona that I would reach around 8 in the morning and texted her that the flight was delayed. She didnt get the message and both she and Shennu wa sick with worries whole morning. They have tried getting some informations online from the Air India site and didnt find anything.

Such is the management of Air India which I would nt take again and would also discourage anyone who want a peaceful journey. Couple of thouand is saved if one takes Air India and the time and agony is worth much more than that.

How this airlines can be turned around? So long it is under control of Government, nothing will happen. It needs to be privatised and overhauled throughly for it to become competitve.
