The unravelling of almost all of the countries in Middle East and rise of barbaric ISIS that is aiming to take away the normalcy and certainty from everyday life holds historic lessons for future.
ISIS is the cancer which is being allowed to spread unabated even now and this can potentially lead to annihilation of civilization the way we have known it. The geopolitics and the deeprooted believe that only American and European lives are worthier than the rest of the world population is the source of what is now playing out in EU and US to a lesser extent.

US has proven again and again that they have might and blessing of abundant riches, but their brain power and understanding world events are far from what it should be. The dictators in middle east were no saints and they were often tyrannical but they have controlled and reigned the lands with iron fist and have decidedly kept the fantatics under tight control. They also ensure that that there was no 2nd or 4rd or 4th level of leaders who could fill the vacuum if they were removed. And if there is vacuum, often the fanatics fill it. This is what happened in Middle East. US made well trained, well armed young men suddenly jobless and thus rose ISIS.
Where it will end? I shudder to think given the sad state of world leadership today.
However, pure and honest always prevail over bad, ugly and barbarism and hence I remain hopeful that this world someday will know peace and prosperity.
