Uttan - Cigad Resort- Around Mumbai

We are 5 couples with children and we meet once in 3-4 week to have great evenings filled with drinks, good food, laughter and general banter. Each of group have unique personality and sesne of humour and it makes a lovely affair for us to look for these evenings. Soon, we felt we should make trips together. We choose Goa but the planning and schedules of schools and offices meant that it was difficult to fund common dates.

It was the long weekend and our journey started when we picked up breakfast at the McDonald, at the Hub, WE express way. We booked ourselves in Cigad resort and their website indicated it to be a decent place. We found it to be an awsome place. Hardly 60kn from Mumbai which tool us about60 mins to reach Uttan through fishermen's villages. The beauty of the locale was awsome and we couldnt believe that such a place full of natural charm could be there so close to the crowed, concrete jungle that Mumbai is! We realised that Uttan is yet to be discovered and thus not commercialised at all. There is hardly any place to eat there except the resort where we stayed. We had loads of fun. Our jounrey completed with a lunch at the Dhabba.

It is a superb place and we will go back again and again so long we are in Mumbai. How long will we be in Mumbai?
