Bohol and glimps of Philipino culture- part 1

I spent last 10 days on the month of may with a group a 40 philipino and pilipinas in picturisque island called Bohol.

I have gone to Manila in Sept 2004 and that time had sampled the nightlife of Manila which is quite colourful and unabashedly sinful.

It was different this time.

I arrive in Manila at 1.30pm in the noon only to ralise that my luggage was misplaced. Thus I spent that day only wearing the jeans and t-shirt. I found deododant to be a great friend in such situations.

That day was spent making innumerable phone calls to the airlines office trying to trac the luggage. I got promise of money and the luggage definitely at my hotel by the same night. I got none.

My respect for singapore airlines took a solid beating. will I take it again? No, if I had a choice.

They pamper you rotten though if you are tarvelling business class, probably others do too.

I had a flight to Bohol nextday at 11.45am and I found the shopping malls open only at 10am. Thus I found myself at 10am on the doors of Landmark in Makati city and I finished shoping in 10 minutes. I bought shorts and t-shirt without trying them and later found them to be allright. Years spent playing the game of guessing sizes of assets of babes probably came handy that day!

Cebu pacific also sells tshirt and slippers on board and I bought some. The airhostess wanted to sell me one for my girlfriend too. She asked the girl sitting next to me if we were lovers, she was disappointed when told we were only collegues.

A waiting bus took us to the Bohol beach resort. We were garlanded and given a fruit punch.

The room I was stay was covered with coconut leaves and had wooden floor and it was airconditioned. The sea was at a stones throw from the room. The sand was white and the water was blue with glass like transparency. Above, the blue sky was littered with some white cloud. The sun was quite strong and it was humid. off came our t-shirts and we hit the sea.

The slope was not much and we could walk miles into the sea. There were star fishes galore. We then played beach vollyball and ended up with acheing muscles nextday.

To an Indian eye, not used to much skin show from girls, the dressing of the philipinas was quite interestiing.

They are probably friendliest people on earth. Before I knew I was on first name terms with so many of them. They laugh a lot and seems to be fairly light hearted.

Music bands are their single most contribution to this part of the world at large. Everyone of them sing along when travelling or partying. I resolved that I must learn to become a part of their society.

They, wherther man or women, love to talk of sex and describe private parts in vivid details. A girl was to get married and her office gave her a premarriage party. The cake was shped like a very handsom penis and she was encourage to lick it. She did lick it with accompanying sighs from women around. And if its guy, the cake would be shaped like a a juicy boob.

Life a play, song, music and sex to them. Looks like an ideal life.
