We are racing rapidly to extinction and it is solely due the rapid growth of population and the resultant depend it puts on natural resources, be it on food, energy or environmental reasons. Our population rapidly increasing and so we need more houses, more food, more cloths, more electricity - however, these are not renewable in the span on of our lives. So, global warming is a reality and rapid and unpredictable changes in weather will take us to our eventual fate of extinction. The only was we can prolong the existence of human race is by reducing our population to about 3Bn from current 6Bn+. This will also ensure decent quality of life for everyone as opposed to current situation where half the world population live in abject poverty and suffers from indignity of living a live may not be worth living.
