First month in Manila

Its been a maddening, very fast, busy one month in Manila. We came and within a week, I had to go to Bangkok for two weeks. Hence it was lot of pressure on Dona to manage everything single handedly.

Shenna got admitted to ISM and he loves the school. we just cannt believe that he gets up everyday at 6am, goes to toilet, gets ready and goes to school at 6.30am. He now sleeps by 8.30pm, the same dude who used to stay awake withus till 1am, day after day. His new friends are Edward, Alexus, Miyu, James & Vincent. He loves his teacher. He has bought a red goggles for his swimming class. He is discovering the joys of gaming and he has started to become a bike collector.

We will be moving to a condo in Salcedo sometimes soon. We liked the park there and there is a flea market there every saturday morning.

We like the starbucks here which was sorely missed in Mumbai.

Restaurants galore but somehow the smell of lot of the dishes is not so appealing to us and hence we dont eat out much.

Dona's birthday was on 18th and we had a small party by ourselves. The flower is very expensive here.

Lot of things are quite expensive, medicine is 10times costlier than that in Mumbai. Newpapers sell at 25 peso.

Do we miss India? It was funny for me to come back to Manila from Bangkok as earlier always I used to head back to Mumbai. Bangkok is so far ahead of Manila that it felt bad to be Manila, for sometimes.

There is so much to do and Im so very busy working from 7 to 7 everyday for the last several days that I wish to have a break allready.
