Subic City, Philippines

We went to Subic city this Saturday to have a look at the Ocean adventure. We had our doubts if we would be able to go as there was a typhoon alert but fortunately it didn’t hit Manila and we went ahead with our plan to watch the Donphines there.

It was worth going there. The entrance fee to the Ocean Adventure was stiff but it was beautiful. The place was easily one of the best I have seen in my life. It reminded me the lake in Zurich which was so far the most beautiful place I had seen so far.

The bay was on the bank of mountains and the water was crystal clear. The whales and the dolphins were well trained and was a treat to watch them perform in the show. The show by sea lion was even more enjoyable for the shear perfection to which it was trained.

There were a small bird sacturary which was nice but there were only few birds. The sea aquarium was a delight to the eyes and senses in general. We couldn’t but wonder who had created such colourful life in the depth of ocean and for what purpose. The number of creatures and their variety are something to marvel about.

I was sad though seeing these animals do to the bidding of their human masters to entertain human beings when their life was meant to be spent in natural surrounding with their fellow creatures.

Sheena was very excited though out the day and we came back to our place in Salcedo Village in the evening, dog tired.

We saw something today that we will remember for a long long time. Philippines is probably one of the most beautiful place on earth. Its sad that tourism is not that well promoted and the country is so poor.
