What is the best maintained city in India?

Off course Delhi.

The Mumbai muncipilaty corporates go to Rome and Chicago, to understand how good roads are made. Yet every moonsoon, the Mumbai road collapse and the potholes smiles at everyone, the toothless grin of democracy. They should instead call some engineers from Delhi and see the superb condition of the roads and if any shame is left in them, they should promise theirs sons and daughters that they would amend their sin. Im being fooling, it will never happen.

Delhi roads are comparable to roads anywhere in the world.

The roads are wide and full fo trees. We are staying at Defence colony and there was a park nearby. I took Gulu there and it had quirrel, ducks, rabbit, baby hens, so many birds and flowers. Gulu got all excited and he asked why werent the ducks doing quak quak. Soon enough, the ducks obliged him.

Gulu loved the trip. He was restless in the flight till he got his gift. The airconditioner in the room was below the window and manytimes I would see him cooling his bum in the cold draft from the AC.

Being obsessed with cars, he couldnt be at peace till he got a car. I told Dona that when we were young, if had gone a new place, we would be seeing everything with mouths agape but this little boy got no such interest.

The Lotus temple was amaging and meditation there had a calming effect on my agitated soul

He said,' okey, now Im watching the road'. Saying it, he looked out of the window of the car with his mouth wideopen!

Such a naughy fellow, my son.

The heat was too much for us coming from Mumbai where it was raining so badly few days back.

But Its a sham that RD concluded that Mumbai is the rudest city in the world when we could see for sure that Delhi si the certainly the rudest city in India.

The guesthouse caretaker never smiled at us except when gave him some money. We went to a doctor for some rouitne test required for our Visa and she had the look and feel of an investigating offcier convinced that we were there to hide something.

Is it because over ages, alien bandits had entered through norther part of India and conquered them, exploited them and ruled over them with lawness. It might have made these people suspicious of anyone unknown and it could be their defence machanism to keep the potential threats away.

Loved Delhi. But do we want to live here? Dona asked. I said, 'no'. In India, I dont want to live anywhere other than Mumbai.
