Soccer Mad our Boy

I grew up playing football in Baruipur under sun, when it rained, throughout the year. In school have fond memories of fights faught over our favourite teams. A win for East Bengal would bring happiness galore and a loss would mean deep sadness. Arrival of television meant that we got to see the quality of the different world football palying teams and the competition of Indian team lost meaning over a period of time.

Yet, it would to pain me somewhere that Shrihaan wasnt interested in football when we were in Manila and I thought it is something I would have to accept. Then we moved to Bangkok and Shrihaan got admitted to Bangkok Patana School. One fine day, I realised he has got obsessed with football! Not only he started playing, he very soon became very conversant of the European Championship and now he is an avid collector of MatchAttax. Its such a pleasure to play PS soccer games and wonderful to see him being so fond of Chelsea. It was a boon that Chelsea played an exhibition game in Bangkok against TPL and we went to watch it live. These are memories both the father and son would cherish for a long time.

I now want to watch a Worldcup final or important game live together someday, somewhere. To bad, the next one is in Quwait and guess we will have to wait for the one after that to plan to be there physically.
