Boracay, 2007

6days, 5nights in Boracay-God's own beach, completely secene, sun kissed, crystal clear blue water in the sea which doesnt slope easily,
so that we could walk fat into the sea yet water level would be just waist high.

Holi week in Philippines is the time when everyone goes to holidays and Boracay is one of the favourite destination. Got lucky, or so we thought, when we got some very cheap flight fare in Cebu Pacific. Friends said should have booked the hotel first. They were right.

Every place was qouting $100 a night.

Finally, booked a hotel called Las Brisas in Station 1, the best and most happening place in Boracay.

We went to airport to Catch the flight to Kalibo. Cebu pacific is never on time but it took just 45mins to reach Kalibo.

A bus was wating for us to take us to the Calitran jetty. The ride was for nearly 1.5hrs, a pleasant ride where we got glimpes of the devine sea.

The boat ride was very nice. We reach in a place bit far away from Boracay. Took a yak ride to reach our destination. The view of the sea from the lobby of the hotel took our brath away. We went have let the beauty of the white gleaming sand and the blue sea seep into our being.

We freshened up and went to the beach again. Shenna started making Sand castles.

Bath in the sea, making sand castle, lying in the beach, getting burnt brown, occasiona beer, long walk to the shops and restaurants in the evening, relaxing and feeling th peach and tranquility into each of our vains-this would our routine everyday for the six days we satyed there from 6th to 11th April.

We took rides in the sail boat for couple of hours. It was a magical experience. Dona wanted to do the parachut but it turned out to be bit costing and I, may be worngly, didnt encourage her to go for it. We loose so much in life calculating about money which may be needed tommorrrow.

The varities of food that one could get in the many beach front restaurants were enormous. We loved the food in Paraw.

Shenna was too happy with the place. So he actually once asked me if there are schools there and when asked if he wanted to settle there, he nodded yes.

A small note on Las Brisas. The service was bad and it was not the money worth spending staying there but for the awesome view of the sea.

Once we were back from Boracay, I got submerged in a crisis in office immidiately. I longed to go back to Boracay.

Someday, when Shenna is all grown up, I along with Dona, might think of opening a restaurant there and walk into the sunset of our life amidt the plenty of nature in Boracay.
