Saraswati Puja-Manila

The Saraswati Puja was celebrated on 14th April, here in Manila by our Bengali community where 26 Bengali families, including off course us, were deeply involved. Yes, there is this extremely vibrant Bengali community in Manila. We have gone to few get together and being there, not for once, one would feel that we arent in Kolkata. Bengali songs are sung, only language that is spoken is Bengali. And all the typical Bengali food is celebrated with the usual Bengali gusto. The Puja was an elaborate affair. The planning started few weeks back and all the rituals were followed with religious zeal. The goodess was emmersed in Manila bay. It was such an excellent experience to be part of this occasion. We wish these are the experience that will help Shenna to grow into a fine human being.
